Regulatory Compliance

HST, WSIB, EHT & UHT Filing in Mississauga

Beyond income tax, businesses and property owners in Ontario face a series of separate filings — GST/HST returns, WSIB reporting, Employer Health Tax, the federal Underused Housing Tax and a range of information slips. Each has its own rules and deadlines, and penalties for missing them can add up quickly.

ANG Tax & Financial Group keeps track of these obligations for clients in Mississauga and across Canada, registering where required and filing on time, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Compliance Filings FAQs

When do I need to register for GST/HST?

Generally once your worldwide taxable sales exceed $30,000 over four consecutive calendar quarters, you are no longer a small supplier and must register. Some businesses, such as taxi and ride-share drivers, must register from their first dollar of revenue. Voluntary registration can also make sense so you can claim input tax credits.

Does my business need WSIB coverage?

Most Ontario employers in covered industries must register with WSIB within 10 days of hiring their first worker. Some industries are exempt and some owners can opt in for personal coverage. We confirm your obligations and handle the registration.

Do I need to file an Underused Housing Tax return?

It depends on how the residential property is owned. Many Canadian citizens and permanent residents are excluded, but some owners — including certain corporations, partnerships and trustees — may still have filing obligations. We review your ownership structure and file if required.
