CRA Audit Help & Representation in Mississauga

A letter from the Canada Revenue Agency — a review request, an audit notice, a reassessment or a collections demand — is stressful, and the deadlines in it are real. How you respond in the first few weeks often decides how the matter ends.

Once you authorize us as your representative, we handle the correspondence, prepare the supporting documentation, and deal with the auditor or collections officer directly, so you don't have to.

How we help

Audits & reviews

Personal, corporate, GST/HST and payroll audits. We organise the documentation, respond to the auditor and keep the scope of the review contained.

Objections & relief

Notices of Objection to dispute an assessment, and Taxpayer Relief requests to cancel penalties and interest caused by circumstances beyond your control.

Tax debt & unfiled returns

Catching up unfiled returns, Voluntary Disclosure Program applications, and negotiating realistic payment arrangements with CRA collections.

Key CRA deadlines

Notice of Objection (most taxpayers)
90 days from the notice
Individuals — alternative objection deadline
1 year after filing due date
Taxpayer Relief requests
Within 10 calendar years

If a deadline falls on a weekend or public holiday, the CRA generally accepts filings and payments on the next business day.

CRA Representation FAQs

I received a letter from the CRA — what should I do first?

Don't ignore it and don't send documents before understanding what is being asked. Note the deadline, then contact us. We'll review the letter, tell you what the CRA is looking for and how serious it is, and respond on your behalf.

Can you deal with the CRA for me?

Yes. Once you authorize ANG as your representative through the CRA's online services, we can speak and correspond with the CRA on your behalf for the matters and years you approve.

How long do I have to dispute a CRA reassessment?

Generally 90 days from the date of the notice of assessment or reassessment. Individuals and testamentary trusts may instead file within one year of the filing due date for that year, whichever is later. Missing the deadline can cost you your right to object, so act quickly.

Can CRA penalties and interest be cancelled?

In some cases. The Taxpayer Relief provisions allow the CRA to cancel or waive penalties and interest caused by circumstances such as serious illness, natural disasters or CRA error. Requests must be made within ten calendar years of the tax year involved.
